Event Details

Everyone is welcome to join us, even if they haven’t registered in advance!

Our purpose:

  • Raising Awareness: Educating the public about the prevalence of youth suicide and the factors contributing to it.

  • Reducing Stigma: Breaking down the stigma associated with mental health issues and suicide, encouraging open dialogue.

  • Community Support: Bringing together those affected by suicide, providing a sense of community and mutual support. A reminder that YOU ARE NOT ALONE.

  • Promoting Resources: Highlighting available resources and support systems for mental health and suicide prevention, among others to promote the wellbeing of our community.

  • Memorializing Loved Ones:  Honoring and remembering those who have lost their lives to suicide, offering comfort to their families and friends.​

Schedule:

8:00 Check-in will start

9:00 Welcome and panel presentation

9:30 Walk begins!

10:00 Food will be available for everyone

10:30 Raffle prizes will be distributed

12:00 PM Event ends

 

Note: Family activities and resource tables will be available the whole duration of the event.

Route: 

Liberty Community Plaza boasts an amazing walking track, and that's where our event will take place! We're encouraging everyone to complete three laps (1 mile), but feel free to walk as much as you want. Those who finish all three laps will receive an extra raffle ticket for a special prize!

  1. Is the event free?

    • 100% free, we just want those having mental health challenges to feel the support of our community and for the community to learn more about how to be supportive.

  2. Can someone join me if they didn’t register before the event?

    • Yes, same-day registration is available.

  3. Can I come to the event to cheer on family and friends even if I am not walking?

    • Of course! You can enjoy some food and resources mean while.​

  4. Can I volunteer?

    • Yes, there is a link to sign up for volunteering (find sign up link below).

  5. Is the event wheelchair accessible?

    • Yes, the track has wheelchair access.

  6. Can I register on the day of the event?

    • Yes, but advance registration is highly encouraged to ensure you receive a t-shirt. 

  7. Will there be refreshments and food at the event?

    • Yes, there will be food, drinks and refreshments.

  8. Are pets allowed?

    • Only service dogs are allowed. Please leave your pets at home.

  9. Do I have to track my time?

    • No, you are free to walk at your own pace and as much as you like.

  10. Do I have to walk a specific distance to get my shirt, and food, or enter the raffle?

    • No, you only need to register before September 1st to make sure you get a t-shirt.

  11. When will I get my shirt?

    • Shirts, stickers, and water will be distributed during check-in, check-in begins at 8am .

  12. Do we have to donate to participate?

    • No, but donations are welcome on the day of the event or online.​

              Event Details

​

You're invited to join us at the Helpline Youth Counseling, Inc.’s Paint & Sip fundraiser on Thursday, September 26, 2024, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Liberty Plaza in Whittier. This event aims to raise money to support our programs and workshops and promises to be a fun evening. Artist Claudia Guardado will guide you in creating your own painting while enjoying wine or other drinks, and there will be appetizers as well as a raffle for exciting prizes.

 

We're also offering sponsorship opportunities with various benefits, including event tickets. By becoming a sponsor, you'll get recognition at the event and through our media channels. The funds raised will help sustain our Family Resource Center and support our ongoing efforts to help at-risk youth and families. Join us this year in supporting a good cause.            Program Details

​​

Enhanced Care Management (ECM) is a free statewide benefit available to eligible members within the Medi-Cal program in California. The program focuses on addressing the clinical and non-clinical needs of high-need individuals through the coordination of services and comprehensive care management.

 

Eligible Medi-Cal Providers:

 

Individuals with Medi-Cal coverage through the following providers are eligible:

 

- Anthem Blue Cross Blue Shield

- HealthNet

- Kaiser Permanente

- LA Care

- Molina Healthcare

 

 

Qualifying Groups for ECM:

 

- SPA 7

- Adults and children/youth experiencing homelessness, with at least one complex physical, behavioral, or developmental health need.

- Adults at risk for avoidable hospital or emergency department (ED) utilization, with specific conditions in the last six months: five or more ED visits, three or more unplanned hospital admissions, or short-term skilled nursing facility stays.

- Children/youth at risk for avoidable hospital or ED utilization, with specific conditions in the past 12 months.

- Adults and children/youth with serious mental health or substance use disorders.

- Children and youth involved in child welfare.

 

Services Offered by ECM:

 

- Outreach and member engagement.

- Comprehensive assessment and care plan.

- Coordination of care across all member's providers.

- Health promotion.

- Comprehensive transitional care in and out of hospitals or treatment facilities.

- Education and inclusion of member and family supports.

- Coordination and referral to community and social support services.

HYC's Strategic Plan for 2022-2025

Helpline Youth Counseling, Inc. (HYC) is pleased to present its 2022-2025 Strategic Plan. In developing the Plan, HYC utilized a Stakeholder Survey to assess its organizational mission in relation to agency services and programs and to seek community input regarding future programming. Stakeholder feedback was collected from the HYC Board of Directors, employees, participants, funders, and community members. The lessons learned from COVID-19 were discussed at all stakeholder levels and sectors due to the significant impact of COVID on workplace conditions, service delivery, and community needs. Survey results were utilized to shape the strategic planning by the HYC Board of Directors and Leadership Team comprised of the Executive Director, Controller, Director of Programs, Director of Human Resources, Quality Assurance Manager, Director of Behavioral Health Services, Director of Family Services, Director of Youth Services, Director of Homeless and Housing Support Services, and Development Director. HYC's 2022-2025 Strategic Plan focuses on agency and community priorities in the functional areas of (1) Program Enhancement, Expansion, and Growth; (2) Organizational Strength; and (3) Fiscal Viability.
